FOOD ILLUSTRATION
I love to eat, cook, and draw food!
Drawing food allows me to explore ways to connect my cooking, and foodie ambitions with my illustration practice. Either through creating kitchen tea towels, illustrated recipes, or fun images of my favorite guilty pleasures - I love to play with composition, texture, and lettering.
Here you will find some of my favorite foods.

Birthday Bash for They Draw. Order your favorite meal and enjoy with Friends and Family. Neapolitan pizza, cold draft beer, and big ole slice of chocolate frosted birthday cake. Mmm Mmm.
Blind baking your crust, peeling apples, and enjoying your delicious pie with a big dollop of whipped cream. Here are details of the Apple Pie elements from my "Nobody Likes a Soggy Bottom" Tea Towel, edited for the They Draw website. This was created for Spoonflower’s hand lettered tea towel design challenge and won 10th place.
Every year growing up and still to this day, my Mom makes butter cookies in the shape of Christmas Trees for the holidays. My sister and I loved helping to make these cookies, from adding the food coloring to toping them with colorful sprinkles. And of course, getting to twist and press out the dough onto the baking sheets. I decided to let the cookie press take center stage since it's such a fun old kitchen gadget. Created for the favorite food memory challenge on They Draw.
Fun with sketchy shapes and color blocking for everyone's favorite summer time treat! It was fun simplifying forms of ingredients for this piece. Created for the Food Geometry challenge on They Draw.
