Austin Downtown Breakfast Map

An illustrated map of downtown Austin and the best breakfast spots in my neighborhood in 2019. A couple have closed or moved to new locations since then, but they still have a place in my heart. Although, now I have quite a few more favorite breakfast spots now… its not only the most important meal - its my favorite meal!

I created the map after just moving to Austin in the spring and figured the best way to explore the town was through its large food scene. Here it's Tacos over Burritos in the morning, and I have to say the migas at VeraCruz are the best! My favorite trendy, chill place on the west side is still BetterHalf and now there is a sister brewery next door which makes it even better. The absolute best place is still Bird Bird Biscuit - get the fresh fried Queen Beak sandwich it's the best in town!
