24 Days of Christmas

There is so much to draw on for illustration during the Christmas Season. This selection of pieces are from a couple years of Christmas Art Countdown by Sketch Design Repeat. An open project that invited illustrators to create new work each day of the season lead by a series of word prompts.

Many of the illustrations from these projects became Christmas Cards sold on Etsy, and eventually sparked my recent Austin Christmas Collection which was carried by a couple local retailers.

I often use open social media projects like this to explore new techniques and mediums. I find it a great way to play while still exploring my style and process.
