Opportunity rover

Opportunity Rover traveled more than 28 miles on Mars for almost 15 years. Through this teams work we learned that there once was water on Mars, and its exploration will lay ground work for future missions to the surface.

I really love hearing stories of exploration and discovery, and this one was especially touching. It was sad to hear its last transmission and think of it being engulfed in a dust storm... But I imagine that future explorers will find her and marvel at Oppy’s past accomplishments.
