email design and more
OVERVIEW:
Email Designs, Flows, User Testing, and Figma Templates.
ROLE:
Lead Designer
OBJECTIVE:
Quickly design Emails and Flows to test new Acquisition channels.
Literati’s team had a large amount of email design requests, which all needed visual sign-off before being imported into an email client. The team needed to support two sides of the business, and develop work for new verticals as the company grew. The designs also needed to be brought up to brand compliance, updated with new product information, and adjusted to improve CTR.
GOAL: Transition to Figma templates for easy design and collaboration.
Create initial branded templates in Figma
Partner with Email Manager to update email client assets.
Improve the review process.
Continually evolve the templates and styles to improve brand, and support design team.
PROCESS
The existing emails had been created in large cumbersome photoshop files. This slowed down design work, made it hard to share assets, and limited how progress could be shared for review. So I imported the core brand assets into Figma for both side of the business, and ensured that all design team members could access basic files and work efficiently within Figma.

FINAL RESULTS EMAIL IMPROVEMENTS
The templates quickly evolved as the design team grew, and the company got a brand refresh. Figma allowed our team to easily share files and assets. It also meant that design and copy for emails was streamlined into one place for feedback. Stakeholders could easily share comments, and designers could quickly update and get approvals. Reducing the amount of time needed email production.
I continued to expanded on the new email templates by utilizing Figma’s extensive auto layout features, creating components that designers could easily drag and drop into layouts and edit with ease. This meant that building long emails, editing copy, and re-using brand elements went much faster. Allowing the designers to focus on the Hero images and CTAs.
This proved invaluable when the company expanded their offering into schools and needed to quickly create and test multiple email flows. We were able to quickly produce multiple sign-up flows with a variety of offer tests, iterate, and update the flow as the new business channel grew.
